A Christmas Wreath
by Lisa Lahiff | 9 years ago
Hello crafty friends! It's Lisa here with you today from the DCWV Social Media Design Team, sharing a Christmas wreath that I created using lots of ribbons (left over from our blog hop with May Arts Ribbon Resource), as well as the DIY Project Stack Frosty Village, and some Metal Charms by Blue Moon Beads. Check it out…
To create this wreath I started with a foam base. I started wrapping my various ribbons around the foam in a criss-cross pattern. I used corsage pins to hold the ribbons onto the foam, as well as to add some sparkle all around the front. I then punched out my deer and tree diecut shapes and put them together. I used my trusty glue gun to attach them to my wreath.
Tip: to attach my deer, I used my glue gun and ran a line down the sides of its legs keeping them in place. Finally I used my corsage pins one more time and wrapped some snowflake charms along the top pins for the appearance of falling snow. (I also added some eyes to my deer at this point with some black rhinestones.) Here is a closer look at the wreath…
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Happy Crafting!
