A little bit of gifting, a little bit of fun...

Hi everyone!  It’s Social Media Design Team member Karen and I am here today to show off a few little projects right out of DCWV’s DIY Project Stack – Favor Boxes, now available at JoAnn Fabric and Crafts.   I have to tell you that up here in Calgary, we had our first snowfall of the season last night.  It is pretty typical for us to get a little bit of the white stuff before Halloween, but I am happy to report that it should be a memory by Saturday (snowsuits underneath costumes are pretty typical around here).  So I thought it would be a great chance to show off these pretty favor boxes, in all their sparkly snow-themed goodness.  

If you have never used any of these DIY stacks, you are in for a treat when you do!  Filled with 36 sheets of double sided paper in a variety of patterns (but enough of the same so you can create matching sets as well), these stacks will have you creating really amazing 3D projects.  This particular stack has 6 different templates that you simply cut out and trace onto the patterned paper.  The templates can be used over and over again, and you can use them on any paper you have in your stash.  And my favourite part of this particular stack happened to be all the punch out embellishments that are available – including these paper bows that took me about 1 minute each to punch and assemble.  

I added a few adhesive rhinestones for some sparkle, but the rest was all included in the stack. Originally, I had planned to use these as pretty boxes for stocking stuffers, but they were so easy that I might make a whole set to use as an Advent calendar or to help celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas (there is a whole set of punch out number tags you could use).
