Abuelita and me

Hello Stack-a-holics! It's Karla from the social media design team. I have a layout for you, which required more effort than usual...but I love, love, love the result!
I used one of DCWV's newest stacks—the Minty Lace stack. This has got to be by far the prettiest stack that DCWV has ever made. Ok, I guess it depends on your taste in paper...but...this is one of my favorites for sure! It has minty turquoise foil, pearl foil, and lots of delicate details. It's also a very versatile stack because the wood grain and navy patterns balace out the delicate papers.
The inspiration for this layout was the big ampersand cut file. I just couldn't find an .svg file that I liked and that converted nicely to an .fcm file for my scan-n-cut. After much searching, I decided to design my own. I cut the ampersand out of the ampersand patterned paper and backed it with the small triangle pattern so that some of the hearts are multiple colors. As a bonus, all the little heart cutouts from the ampersand are going to be so cute for embellishing more pages later!
I thought the big ampersand full of hearts was perfect for this photo of my mom and my daughter. There's just so much love there!

I added some details cut from the stack and embellishments from my stash. I used thermoweb dot adhesive sheets to add adhesive to all my tiny wood veneers.
