Autumn Banner

Happy first day of September! It's Jeri, with an easy Fall-themed Home Decor idea.

Ok, so it's not technically Fall just yet, but I like to be prepared and ahead of the game!

To make this simple Fall banner, all you need is some jute or string, scissors, 2 nails and a hammer, some mini clothespins, ribbon, the DCWV DIY Pumpkin Stack, and pinecones.

THAT'S IT!!!

This space under my mirror is perfect for banners, so I just hammered a nail under each end of the mirror. I measured and cut a long piece of jute and tied it to the nails. I then cut a couple lengths of jute to hang vertical and spaced them evenly; just simply tie them onto the main, vertical strand.

Once you have all of those in place, grab your DCWV DIY Pumpkin Stack, some mini clothespins and pinecones. You can use any other additional decor you want. I found a little bag at Hobby Lobby full of these mini pinecones and dried fruits and flowers. Not only are they adorable, but they smell delicious!

Now, punch out some of the leaves and decor from the DCWV DIY Pumpkin stack and just pin them randomly on the jute strings. I used some jute to tie around the pinecones, leaving a small amount loose so I could pin those easily to the banner as well. Using the clothespins are great because you can simply move items around until you are pleased with it visually.

Once you finish pinning items, grab your ribbon, 2 large punch outs (see image) and decor you want to hang from the nail. I first put the punch out on the nail, then hung the dried fruit, flower and pinecone. I then tied a multi-colored bow and simply squeezed it inbetween the nail and my mirror. If you don't have that option, you can tie it to the nail directly.
