Autumn Blessings Journal
by Karen Jiles | 9 years ago
Hi there! Karen here, sharing an Autumn Blessings Journal that I created using the Mercury Glass and Harvest House stacks. This combination is perfect for this time of year. The patterns are so beautifully coordinated and versatile. They really made this journal come to life. I’m going to enjoy adding photos and journaling in this journal on Thanksgiving Day. The journal measures 3 ½" x 5". I’m including an easy tutorial below:
Supplies
DCWV Stacks:
- Mercury Glass Stack
- Harvest House Stack
Journal
Trimmer
Scissors
Ribbon (Stained)
Leaves
Brown Chalk
Xyron Adhesive
3D Tape
Hot Glue
Step 1: Cut sentiments from the Harvest House stack.
Step 2: Run 5" x 7 ¾" piece of patterned paper from Mercury stack though the New Creative Station and adhere to journal.
Note: Begin securing the paper to the front cover, wrapping around the binding and then securing the remaining paper to the back of the journal. When you are done, you will have covered both the front and back covers with 1 piece of patterned paper.
Step 3: Add ribbon to the journal. Set aside.
Step 4: Distress the edges of the coordinating patterned papers and journaling spots from the Harvest Home stack.
Step 5: Adhere patterned papers and journaling spots together and layer them onto a journal.
Step 6: Adhere layered focal image onto the journal using 3D tape.
Step 7: Add leaves and a sentiment. Continue embellishing as desired.
