BeYoutiful with Boho Style

Hi everyone – it’s Social Media Design Team member Karen, and I have a little card and cupcake container to share today. 

There really is something special about Boho!  Light, airy, pretty, playful – when it comes to this style, what’s not to like?!  Now, while I just cannot seem to pull of this style in my own wardrobe, the new Boho Style stack from DCWV certainly makes it easy to add it to my crafting! 

Lately, I have been really drawn to the journaling tags inside the DCWV stacks.  While I love doing my own hand lettering on cards, DCWV has done a great job capturing sentiments that are just perfect for cards. Just cut them out, mount them on some coordinating paper and you are all set to go!  Instant card!  And when it’s topped with some pretty gold foil, the card just ends up with that extra “something-something”! 

I was actually having so much fun with this stack, I grabbed a cupcake box that I was going to use for my daughter’s birthday party later this week, and played with embellishing that up as well!   While I was going to add a sentiment onto this one as well, the patterned paper was just so pretty that I couldn’t make myself cover it up!  So I just matted it and left it as it was. 

I then fussy cut one of the flowers in its entirety, and then cut out only the centre of another, layering it on top with a foam adhesive square for dimension.  Instant embellishment!  I think I might add one to the inside of the card as well. 

Okay, this stack really is in a class of its own.  DCWV definitely has the trends covered with this one, but in a subtle, easy way that has Boho written all over it.  I think it’s my new favourite!
