Birthday fun with Milk Cartons!

Hi everyone! It’s Social Media Design team member Karen and today I am sharing some birthday fun here on the DCWV blog!
My oldest daughter recently turned 7 years old and even before the words were out of her mouth, I knew which stack I would be using. The Birds and Butterflies stack has become a recent favourite in this house – not just for the great spring/summer theme, but also because of the great, bright colours! Now, while I cannot say that you will find any cupcake-themed images in this stack, you will find all sorts of fun colours and patterns that will go with any theme you pick. In fact, I happened to find some cute cupcake clothes pins at my local dollar store, and you would think they were made to match this stack. It’s just one of those stacks that has versatility written all over it!
I created these little milk carton treat containers to hold a little something for our adult guests at the family birthday party. Created with one piece of 12x12 patterned paper, one stack will go a long way here! I created a little sentiment using a word processor, embellished with a button, and I was all set!
And just for fun, I played around with different colours and prints from the stack for each treat container. I figured that since each of the cupcake clothes pins were different, it would be fun to make each treat container unique as well.
I have to admit that it was a little hard to give these away at the party! They were soooo cute! I think that perhaps a tutorial for these might be around the corner! In the meantime, thanks for stopping by!
