Creating a Unique Ready-Made Page

Hello fellow Stackaholics! This is Rachel from the DCWV social media design team and loving the new blog here!

I’m sure you’ve seen that DCWV has recently released Ready-Made scrapbook pages!  Here is my take on this great time-saving product.

Here is the layout I chose (there are several!) right out of the package.

This is what the layout looked like with my photo of choice.

Really this layout could have been finished in 4 minutes… two minutes to find the photo (hello! my blouse matches the teal paper perfectly!) and another two minutes to write the journaling. And it looks good, too! But I just wanted to add some more touches to make it more ‘me’.  So I found some additional words and icons and added them to my layout (try the Chalk Art Stack if you want to add your own!).

Just adding a couple of embellishments really takes this layout to the next level! When I create scrapbook pages from a blank slate, I really spend A LOT of my time just deciding on the layout of the page; where the photos will go, where the title will go, where journaling will go… this takes all of that out of the process and saves me a TON of time.

I hope I’ve helped to change your opinion of Ready-Made layouts! I had a lot of fun making this one and enjoyed moving straight to the fun part—embellishing! You can find a huge variety of Ready-Made pages at your local JoAnn Fabric and Craft stores.
