December daily—Merry Memories style!

Hello DCWV friends and fans, it's Jaclyn from the Social Media Team.  Are you in denial that the holidays are upon us, like I am?  I am not ready for the hustle and bustle, the crowds and the busy-ness.  I AM ready to start documenting our days in a December Daily album, though!  This tradition is one of my favorites and certainly among the most cherished scrapbooks for my little family.  This year a close friend of mine decided to take on the task of a December Daily album too.  I was so excited that she would be joining me in the fun challenge.  I thought it would be fun to gift her a box of ephemra, tags, and embellishments to decorate her album.

 

I knew that I'd want to present this gift to her in a fun and creative way, so I turned to DCWV's Merry Memories Stack to help me decorate and pretty up the supplies I planned to gift her.

 

 

The first step was to decorate the box that I'd present all the pretty things to her in.  I used my favorite glittery red polka dot paper from the stack to cover both the box and lid.

 

 

A length of May Arts burlap ribbon made the perfect accent around the box lid.  The ribbon bow also made a fun place to fussy cut and attach some different icons, elements  and tags from the stack.

 

 

Here's a little peek at the contents.  I love the cohesion of each little piece, since they are all adorned with papers from the stack.  It makes for a special and coordinated gift for my friend.

As you can see from the close up pictures, it doesn't take much effort to make each small gift coordinated and pretty.  DCWV has done all the work by designing an array of pretty glittered papers and cut apart elements.  Adding a simple gem, twine bow and/or foam adhesive allows each individual element to shine, but also creates for a beautiful gift!
