Dream Chaser Journal
by Karen Jiles | 8 years ago
Hi there,
Karen here, sharing a Journal created with the Watercolor paper stack. This stack is full of colorful patterns that remind you of fun tropical elements. The papers were perfect for this Dream Journal. I coupled the journal with some Blue Moon charms and distressed ribbon. They really helped enhance the overall design. I’m including an easy tutorial below.
Dream Journal
Supplies
DCWV Stack: Watercolor
Journal
Pins
Charm
Button
Trimmer
Scissors
Ribbon
Black ink
Xyron Adhesive
Hot Glue
3D Tape
Instructions
Step 1: Trim patterned paper from the Watercolor stack down to 5 x 7 ¾ and run though the New Creative Station.
Step 2: Adhere paper to the journal. Note: Begin securing the paper to the front cover, wrapping around the binding and then securing the remaining paper to the back of the journal. When you are done, you would have covered both front and back covers with 1 piece of patterned paper.
Step 3: Trim additional pieces of coordinating papers from the Watercolor stack and run them through the New Creative Station.
Step 4: Adhere strip of patterned paper to journal and apply black ink to edges of journal.
Step 5: Add ribbon to the journal and tie knot.
Step 6: Adhere focal image layers together and adhere to journal with 3D Tape.
Step 7: Attach charm to bow and then onto journal using hot glue.
Step 8: Add crystal button to bow and charm. Add additional bows as desired.
Step 9: Add crystal pins and continue embellishing as desired.
