Happy Thanksgiving (Canada)!

Hello everyone, it’s Social Media Design Team member Karen H. and today, I have one thing to say before we get started – Happy Thanksgiving!  While many of you might think I am a little ahead of myself, it’s actually Thanksgiving today in Canada, so today it’s time to says thanks!

Before I had my little girls, I was not a scrapbooker at all.  I barely took pictures (unless I was on vacation), and while I loved to make crafts, I couldn’t even imagine an idea for a page.  Then, over the course of 3 years, two little girls came into my life and everything changed!  Now, every time I sit down to create a layout it is a practice of giving thanks for those moments – both ordinary and extraordinary- that shape my life and my heart.  And while I still love making other types of crafts, scrapbooking has my heart!

This particular layout was created with a great new stack from DCWV called Autumn Leaves (available at JoAnn).  This stack is warm and “cozy” and filled with all sorts of fun patterns and prints.  And the great thing is that it comes in a 6x6 size as well, with a few different patterns than you will find in the 12x12.  It’s a simple design – in fact, I actually used the same sketch that we have posted for our Stack-a-holic challenge this month!  Simply cut some rectangles, layer and you are all set with a polished layout that you can create in about 30 minutes!  

Looking at this layout got me thinking about one more thing that I am thankful for – that happens to be DCWV and the great crafters out there that support what we do!   I have been a design team member with the company for a number of years now, and I am always struck by the company’s positive attitude, support and generosity!  Creating for DCWV really has been a blessing, and hearing all the amazing support from crafters out there is humbling.  Thank-you for taking time to appreciate what we do and support DCWV!
