Large Format stack project: An Art Journal and altered frame
by Megan Lloyd | 9 years ago
Hello friends!
How has your day been? Are you ready for Friday yet? Hopefully you've still got some great things to accomplish on this Thursday.
Agata and Shilpa, two of our guest design team members, have been hard at work creating a project for today's post. They had the challenge to create a project with the oversized paper stacks and/or project paper rolls...and I think they did a great job! Want to see more? Here we go!
Agata made her altered frame with the Burlap Neutral Stack and the purple and white floral paper roll. Check out the end results:
She used the purple floral paper to cover the outside of the frame, and the burlap on the inside. You could use this same technique to alter a serving tray, dress up a shadow box frame, and more!
Shilpa created an art journal using the 16"x20" Pastel Cardstock Stack. She also added in some paper from a project paper roll. Here are a few pictures of the process she used to make her journal.
Each page measures 6"x5" and is folded accordion style.
The project paper rolls and oversized stacks create the perfect base for your larger projects. After they are in place, embellish just a little or lots and lots with buttons and brads, paper embellishments and layered prints and solids.
So...have you made anything with your oversized stack yet? If you have, please send them our way...we'd love to see what you've made!
See you back here tomorrow!
