Love card

by Karen Jiles | 9 years ago

Hi there,

Karen here, sharing a “Love” card that I created with DCWV’s Colored Burlap and Corrugate Paper.  This card is perfect for that special person in your life. The corrugate paper and burlap add great texture. The delicate nature of the cheesecloth adds just the right touch too, with the floral and pearl accents finishing it off just right. Take a peek at my easy tutorial below:

Supplies

DCWV: Corrugate Paper Pad, Colored Burlap

White Card Base (4 ¼ x 5 ½)

Sanding Bar

Wooden Sentiment

Flowers

Leaves

Xyron Adhesive: The New Creative Station

Trimmer

Instructions

Step 1: Trim Corrugate paper down to 4 x 5 ¼.

Step 2: Sand corrugate board with sanding bar to expose white core.

Step 3: Trim Burlap paper and run both burlap paper and corrugate board through the New Creative Station.

Step 4: Adhere burlap paper to card base. Then adhere corrugate board to burlap paper.

Step 5: Using hot glue, adhere embellishments, flowers and cheesecloth.

Step 6: Adhere additional flowers, cheesecloth and pearl pins.

Step 7: Adhere ribbon and worded sentiment. Continue embellishing as desired.
