New Years Resolutions...how do they work for you?
by Jaclyn Rench | 9 years ago
Hi there! It's Jaclyn, from the DCWV Social Media Team, joining you on the blog today.
So, I never been much for making New Year's resolutions, but I did attempt to come up with some goals for myself this year. One of those goals was to be on time with my birthday greetings for friends and family. My intentions are always good, but that doesn't mean I'm exempt from writing "Happy BELATED Birthday" on many of the greetings I send out. Can you relate?
Fortunately, I started off January with a bang by mailing out three handmade birthday cards, on time! One of those cards that I get to share with you today, was created with the Insta Photo Fun line available at JoAnn's.
I love the color story in this collection. It's unique from any other papercrafting collection that I've seen in that it combines pink, purple, black, white, kraft and gold foil. I knew it would make for a fun and sophisticated birthday card for one of my best girl friends. I used one of the 5"x5" cards from the Insta Fun collection and accented it with papers from the printed cardstock paper pad and some gorgeous gold foil stickers found in the Albums Made Easy pack.
I couldn't stop at just the card, though and used some of my leftover pieces to accent my gift wrap. I love coordinating both the card and the gift, because I think it makes the recipient feel extra special to know that you took the time to do so!
So, it looks like I'm off to a good start with my new year's 'goal'. If I have more pretty products like these to create with all year long, the remainder of my birthday cards are sure to be beautiful AND on time! Well, okay at least they'll be beautiful! ;)
