Re-usable card tutorial using DIY Project Stack – Mini Album
by Karen H | 9 years ago
Hi everyone! It’s DCWV Social Media Design Team member Karen, and today I am excited to share with you a tutorial using the DIY Project Stack – Mini Albums (available at JoAnn.com) for a project that is not included in the great line-up of projects for this stack. These new DIY stacks are a lot of fun because they include all the product and instructions to make some really beautiful projects. But the great thing about them is that at their core, they simply include some beautiful DCWV double sided paper that can be used in any way that your little heart desires. So today, I thought I would share with you how one sheet of the Mini Album stack inspired a tent card that can be shared with, and then reused, by the recipient.
This card has all sorts of fun elements – banner, flowers and great prints – that were all taken right from the stack. The key to this card is visible layers, created with the help of some adhesive foam squares that separate one layer from another, creating depth and texture to the card.
Ultimately, my favorite feature of this fun-fold card is the fact that the recipient could actually re-use the card. By removing the bottom flap, they would be able to hang onto the personal message that you included for them, but also have a fully functional card that they could then pass on to someone else.
Here’s how you can make one too:

I hope this tutorial has inspired you to try something a little different with your DIY project stacks! The beautiful papers and embellishments inside these stacks are just too pretty to not use for something that makes you want to get crafty! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by.
