Ready Made pages: Quick and easy!

Hello all!! It’s Tina McDonald here, part of the DCWV Social Media Design team! I’m sure you have been seeing the fun Ready Made Pages that the team has been sharing this week!! I’m here to share another sample with you!!

For starters, I was really late receiving my box of pages. (Canada Post is pretty slow) So I was not sure I would be able to get my assignment done. Wow was I wrong! The entire idea behind these pages is quick and easy! So, I dug in!!

Here is the page, still in the package…  You may recognize it from earlier this week—I thought I’d give it a try as well.

I kept my project pretty straightforward, not adding a lot of embellishments to it, but I didn’t feel it needed it!! Here’s what I did do!!

*I double matted my photo with card stock, beginning with white, then black. Then I added them OVER the frame instead of into it. I like the depth that gave.

*Next, I added white alpha stickers with my simple “SMILE” title.

*I dug out my sewing machine and added some texture around the edges, around the canvas banner and across the top (zigzag stitch here).

*Finally, I dug out my white Gelly pen and started doodling!! I added journaling, scribbles, borders and more! It fit in PERFECTLY and was so much fun!

And that’s ALL I did!! I know I could have kept adding, but my time was up, and to be quite honest, I kinda liked the simplicity of it!! 20 minutes and I was done!! You really have to give it a try!!
