Let us start by telling you about the organization A Quarter Blue.  A Quarter Blue is a non-profit center that helps raise awareness of sexual abuse, counsels individuals and families that have experienced abuse, and also works to stop sexual abuse.

‘Martha created the name A QUARTER BLUE to lead people to ask about its significance, therefore opening the door to educate the person inquiring.  A QUARTER of children will be left BLUE from the trauma of sexual abuse.  Also, blue is the ribbon for child abuse prevention.  A QUARTER BLUE’s official mission became to stop childhood sexual abuse through education and awareness and encourage survivors throughout their process of healing.’

Martha is the founder of A Quarter Blue, and opened this non-profit after experiencing her own abuse as a child. She wanted to help others, knowing that there aren’t many other places for people to go for customized therapy. She is an incredibly strong woman who also shares her story in the book she wrote, My Secret Life.

This facility hosts a variety of events and therapy classes to help heal and ‘Create A New Normal’ for people. They host Art Therapy on Friday nights, and have so many creative projects displayed in their center.
