September Stack-a-holic challenge: it's on!!
by Megan Lloyd | 9 years ago
Hello friends!
Hope life is treating you well this week. Guess what...we made it to Wednesday! And we have a national holiday in the US this weekend. Yea for things to enjoy now...and extended time with family to look foward to later!
So...are you ready for a new challenge? Before we start, let us ask a few questions. How do you think these are going? Do you think we could do them better (or differently)? Is there another group or company that has done a great job at monthly challenges you think we should know about? There is always room for improvement...so please don't hesitate to tell us!
Lets mix things up a little bit and start with the card. Here is the sketch for the month, courtesy of www.pagemaps.com:
Here are the cards our design team members created with this template in mind:

And now for the page sketch—we chose the following (available courtesy of www.pagemaps.com):
Check out what our designers came up with using the above as a model:

Guess what, I found time to squeeze a layout in this month! I need to do this every month—it is a great challenge to my brain! I don't do anything as creative as our designers—but I'm going to keep trying to catch up!
So, what will you make?
Keep in mind the following when preparing your submissinos:
*Please send all submissions by 9/30/15 to meganlloyd(at)dcwv(dot)com
*If you have a blog post that corresponds with your submission, please include a picture of the project with the blog link as well. This ensures we get a great quality photo instead of trying to pull one off your blog.
*Keep sending in submissions! We share them all on our Facebook page so that you can brag to your family and friends as well as complement the work of others. We do narrow down the list to our "top 20" submissions at the end of the month, and let me tell you...it is not an easy process! It comes down to the little stuff—quality of photography, contrast in the page or card, etc. We don't want to be nit-picky...but when we continue to get such great submissions, we have to find a way to wittle them down somehow :(
Happy Wednesday to you! Hope it is a crafty, inspiring one!
