The Terrarium that never dies!

Hello wonderful blogging friends! It's Lisa Lahiff here today from the DCWV Social Media Design Team and I am so excited to share a project that is new for me with you all today. All of the directions are in the stack itself, along with the paper and templates you will need. Other items you will need include: strong double sided adhesive or hot glue gun, scissors, marker and dowel rod/pencil. Here are a peek at what my Succulent started out as…

I choose three colors to give it a gradient effect, you can go as funky or as realistic as you would like when choosing your colors. I then traced the stencils, trimmed them and adhered them all together. At this point I used a pencil to help curl the edges of my succulent. Finally, I added a rhinestone to the center.

I also have some tips for creating the terrarium itself. Make sure you draw the additional parts with your marker a little larger than the actual lines; this way you can cut on the inside so your marks will not be on the final project. I also found it helpful to use a score blade on my paper trimmer to make the score lines easy to fold at the end. Ta-da!
