Travel, husbands, and fathers :)

Hello!
This is Karla from the Social Media Design Team. Today, I have a layout that I made for my husband. His name is Ben and that's a photo of him in front of Big Ben in London. We love to travel and it used to happen a lot more often before we had a baby. He's an amazing, over-protective dad, so we will probably stay close to home until he feels better about taking our daughter to new and distant places.
The script background paper I used here, is from the Scripts and Music Notes stack. Those colorful houses behind the photos are hand colored by me! It's a sheet from the Globetrotter Color and Create stack. You can find both stacks at Michael's. I used Faber-Castell Design, Memory, Craft Pitt Pastel pencils to color the page. Those houses in the page remind me of London, so I knew it was perfect for the photos I had in mind for the layout. I really liked being able to color it myself, so I could choose which colors to use. I used Thermoweb foam squares to pop up some of the embellishments in the clusters and give them more dimension and interest.
Have you tried coloring your own papers? It's pretty fun! I think I'm going to let my little one color a page of the globe trotter stack with her watercolors and crayons and turn it into a father's day card. I'll make sure to share on social media next week :) Have a lovely day!
