Watercolor Stack goes to the Beach!

Hello! It's Lisa here with you today from the DCWV Social Media Design Team. I am sooooo excited to share a layout I've created with the new jaw-dropping Watercolor Stack. (This stack will be available soon at your local Jo-Ann! Yay!) Not only does this stack have gorgeous fun and bright watercolor designs, but it also has gold foil accents on half of the pages! Shut the front door! This stack has won my heart over, and I just know it is a must have for all crafters. Take a peek at the layout I've created…
The bright colors in this collection were just screaming beach to me. I love that there are a few black patterned pages as well to tone down the colors (or make them pop more). I must add that the vellum gold foil paper is actually from the DIY Project Stack: Cone Wreaths, but it fit so perfectly with this stack that I had to mix it in!
To create this layout I started by trimming various-sized squares of patterned paper and began layering them under my photo. I didn't want all of the edges to be perfect so I tore the edges of the vellum sheet to add a distressed feel. Next, I trimmed out some sentiments and began laying them onto the layout. Since I was placing the larger sentiment in the lower right corner, I added a strip of foiled pineapples under the layered squares on the left side. I then die cut several shapes from sheets in the Watercolor Stack (hearts, a sun, and a small scalloped circle) to embellish the page. I also trimmed some waves from an adhesive jeweled sheet. Throw in some sequins, gems and gold thread and done!
We cannot wait to see what you will be creating with this stack; make sure to share it with us on the DCWV Facebook page, on Pinterest, or on your Instagram!
Happy Crafting!
Lisa
