Welcome to Stateside! and a peek at the map collection!

I love the look of maps and have been searching for a unique way to add one to my home decor. When I got the chance to play with the new Stateside collection, I borrowed an idea from Pinterest and created something perfect for a corner of my living room.

In the Stateside collection you'll find a large tube of three maps of the United States, each one a different design. I chose the traditional map design and pulled embroidery floss from my stash to match the colors of the map.

To personalize the map, I stitched the borders of each state I've called home. These maps are printed on a heavier paper than actual maps, making it much easier to pierce holes and stitch without the tearing.
