Celebrate Today Keepsake
by Karen Jiles | 8 years ago
Hi there,
Karen here, sharing a “Celebrate Today” Keepsake created with the Minty Lace premium stack. I absolutely fell in love with these papers. The patterns are so much fun to create with. Some of the papers within the stack have a really cool iridescent effect and some of the papers include foil. The papers were perfect for this project. Take a peek at my Keepsake tutorial below:
Supplies
DCWV Stack: Minty Lace
Wooden Frame (5 x 5)
Wooden Word & Die Cut
Crocheted Ribbon
Button
3D Tape
Xyron Adhesive: The New Creative Station, Mega Runner, 1” Sticker Maker
Hot Glue
E6000
Trimmer
1” Circle Punch
Instructions
Step 1: Run a 5 x 5 piece of patterned paper (base) from the Minty Lace stack through the Xyron New Creative Station and adhere to wooden frame.
Step 2: Create a card (4-3/4" by 4-3/4") using coordinating patterned paper; adhere to wooden frame using mega runner. Add strips of pattered paper inside to coordinate with the papers chosen. Note: This card element will provide an opportunity to add a photo or journaling. Set aside.
Step 3: Begin building multiple patterned paper layers using coordinated patters. Add crocheted ribbon and adhere layers together using The New Creative Station. Adhere to top of card on the front of the frame.
Step 4: Punch a 1/2 Circle out of coordinated patterened paper and adhere to wooden frame.
Step 5: Adhere bow, button and wooden elements to wooden frame. Continue embellishing as desired.
